Passenger Terminal Amsterdam verkozen tot haven van het jaar

De Passenger Terminal Amsterdam (PTA) aan de Piet Heinkade in Amsterdam heeft de prestigieuze Seatrade Award in de categorie ‘beste haven’ binnengesleept.

De cruiseterminal liet San Francisco en het Portugese Leixoes achter zich.

Via de PTA komen jaarlijks bijna 300.000 passagiers en 90.000 cruiseschipmedewerkers de stad binnen.

De organisatie van de Seatrade Awards was in het bijzonder te spreken over de zogenoemde crew pass, die de cruiseterminal in het leven riep en waarmee bemanningsleden van een cruiseschip korting kunnen krijgen bij verschillende winkels op de Zeedijk.
